Flood Advisory issued May 28 at 12:01AM EDT until May 28 at 3:45AM EDT by NWS Gray ME * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northern New Hampshire, including the following counties, Carroll, Coos and Grafton. * WHEN...Until 345 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1158 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Conway, Fryeburg, Bethlehem, Lincoln, Plymouth, Holderness, Ashland, Franconia, Groton and Sandwich. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
