Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 20 at 3:54PM MDT until June 20 at 4:30PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY At 354 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 miles east of Shirley Basin to 9 miles east of Battle Mountain to Medicine Bow, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Medicine Bow, Rock River, Shirley Basin, Wheatland Reservoir Number 3, Boxelder, Curtis Gulch Campground, and Campbell Creek Campground. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
