Brazos River near Rosharon affecting Brazoria and Fort Bend Counties. Trinity River at Liberty affecting Liberty County. Trinity River near Moss Bluff affecting Chambers and Liberty Counties. Trinity River at Riverside affecting Trinity, Polk, San Jacinto and Walker Counties. Brazos River at Richmond affecting Fort Bend County. ...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in Texas... Brazos River near West Columbia affecting Brazoria County. For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Romayor, Goodrich, Liberty, Moss Bluff...Major flooding is forecast. For the Brazos River...including US 59, Sugar Land, TX, West Columbia, Bryan, Hempstead, Bellville, San Felipe, Richmond, Rosharon...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Brazos River at Richmond. * WHEN...Until Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...At 46.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding continues with water in the Simonton area upstream of the gauge. Simonton closes their gates and pumping begins. Water is over Baudet Road southeast of Richmond, Red Bird Lane in Fulshear, and Sixth Street & Ave B in Rosenberg. Significant portions of the floodplain near Thompsons are inundated requiring relocation of cattle from low lying areas. FM 1458 near FM 1093 in Austin County is threatened. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 45.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:15 PM CDT Tuesday was 45.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 45.6 feet late tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 45.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 45.6 feet on 04/27/1945. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
