Paint Rock River near Woodville affecting Madison, Jackson and Marshall Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Paint Rock River near Woodville. * WHEN...Until Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Portions of Alabama State Highway 65 are closed due to high water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 19.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:00 AM CDT Monday was 19.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.0 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Flood Warning issued June 8 at 12:16AM CDT until June 8 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Huntsville AL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...Portions of Alabama, including the following counties, Jackson and Madison and southern middle Tennessee, including the following county, Lincoln. * WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1215 AM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northern Huntsville, Scottsboro, Moores Mill, Meridianville, Hazel Green, Stevenson, Hollywood, Skyline, Gurley, Section, Woodville, Pisgah, New Market, Alabama A And M University, Harvest, Lincoln, Pleasant Groves, Hytop, Dutton and Paint Rock. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
