Flash Flood Warning issued June 21 at 8:09PM EDT until June 21 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN FFWIND The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southwestern Monroe County in south central Indiana... Northeastern Greene County in southwestern Indiana... * Until 1100 PM EDT. * At 809 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Bloomington, Solsberry, Harrodsburg, Smithville and Fairfax State Recreation Area. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

In south central Indiana, Brown, Jackson, Lawrence and Monroe. In southeast Indiana, Jennings. In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin and Sullivan. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
