In east central Kansas, Anderson, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Geary, Lyon, Morris, Osage, Shawnee and Wabaunsee. * WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of heavy rainfall are possible this evening through Wednesday morning. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Advisory issued September 15 at 8:47PM CDT until September 15 at 11:45PM CDT by NWS Topeka KS * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Western Lyon County in east central Kansas... Southeastern Morris County in east central Kansas... South Central Wabaunsee County in east central Kansas... * WHEN...Until 1145 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 847 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Emporia, Eskridge, Americus, Allen, Admire, Bushong and Dunlap. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
