Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.

Special Weather Statement issued June 18 at 7:23AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC At 723 AM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Terra Alta to near Philippi. Movement was east at 50 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms. Locations impacted include... Mountain Lake Park, Oakland, Bayard, Piedmont, Loch Lynn Heights, Deer Park, Elk Garden, Kitzmiller, Luke, Redhouse, Hutton, Gorman, Crellin, Deep Creek Lake State Park, Swallow Falls State Park, McHenry, Big Run State Park, McComas Beach, Beechwood, and Hartmansville. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
