Mississippi River at Muscatine affecting Rock Island, Muscatine, Louisa and Mercer Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Camanche. * WHEN...From late Wednesday night until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water affects South Washington Boulevard in Camanche. Water also affects the Camanche Marina. Water also affects several homes in Albany. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 15.9 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Thursday morning and continue rising to 19.9 feet Tuesday, July 02. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/quadcities. Special Weather Statement issued June 25 at 9:22AM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL Heat and humidity will build today across much of eastern Iowa, northwest and western Illinois, and northeast Missouri. Heat index readings will rise to the upper 90s to around 100 degrees through early this evening. If you plan to spend time outdoors through early this evening, be sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and take frequent breaks in shaded areas or in an air conditioned building. Also, be sure to look before you lock! Don't leave your pets or kids in parked vehicles.
