Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 17 at 4:42PM CDT until June 17 at 5:15PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO At 442 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Mendon, or 13 miles north of Quincy Regional Airport, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Mendon, Loraine, Woodville, Coatsburg, Chatton, Golden, Camp Point, La Prairie, Clayton, Mound Station and Mount Sterling. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT Wednesday for a portion of west central Illinois.

THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ILLINOIS THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS MONTGOMERY IN SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS CALHOUN GREENE JERSEY MACOUPIN IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS ADAMS BROWN PIKE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF LITCHFIELD, MOUNT STERLING, PITTSFIELD, AND QUINCY.
