Flash Flood Warning issued July 5 at 5:30PM EDT until July 5 at 8:30PM EDT by NWS State College PA FFWCTP The National Weather Service in State College has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Cambria County in central Pennsylvania... Western Clearfield County in central Pennsylvania... * Until 830 PM EDT. * At 530 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... DuBois, Clearfield, Ebensburg, Nanty-Glo, Sandy, Northern Cambria, Curwensville, Patton, Penfield, Hyde, Vinco, Hastings, Plymptonville, Rockton, Carrolltown, S.B. Elliot State Park, Parker Dam State Park, Belsano, Mundys Corner and Colver. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain, hundreds of low water crossings are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.

Flood Watch issued July 5 at 3:38PM EDT until July 6 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Clearfield, Fulton, Northern Centre, Somerset and Sullivan. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of slow moving thunderstorms are expected with torrential downpours and intense rain rates over 2 inches per hour possible. Localized rainfall totals could exceed 5 inches.
