High soil moisture will allow runoff to occur quickly with any additional rounds of rain. Thunderstorms are expected to track north across the Watch area Thursday night into Friday morning, leading to localized flash flooding. Central Sierra County in south central New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 600 AM MDT. * IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water crossings may become impassable, in particular across NM-187 near Hatch. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 302 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
