Western Kane County in southern Utah... East Central Washington County in southwestern Utah... * Until 900 PM MDT. * At 457 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across portions of Zion National Park, and additional heavier rain is anticipated to move into the area over the next hour. Up to 0.25 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of slot canyons, normally dry washes, creeks and streams. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Zion National Park and Springdale. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Flooding is occurring or is imminent.
