Eastern Elk County in southeastern Kansas... Northwestern Chautauqua County in southeastern Kansas... * Until 930 PM CDT. * At 855 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles south of Moline, or 12 miles northwest of Sedan, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Howard, Moline, Longton, and Elk Falls. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for southeastern Kansas.

Flood Warning issued April 27 at 5:29PM CDT until April 27 at 11:30PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of South Central and Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, in South Central Kansas, Cowley. In Southeast Kansas, Chautauqua, Elk and Greenwood. * WHEN...Until 1130 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 529 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Howard, Cedar Vale, Burden, Moline, Longton, Dexter, Severy, Grenola, Fall River, Elk Falls, Cambridge, Climax, Piedmont, Fall River Lake and Fall River State Park. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.

In South Central Kansas, Butler and Cowley. In Southeast Kansas, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will impact the region this afternoon through tonight. Pockets of very heavy rainfall and localized flooding are likely, along with the potential for rises and rivers and streams. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
