Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 22 at 2:53PM EDT until September 25 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC * WHAT...Two to three feet of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Charles and King George Counties. * WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Friday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, water reaches yards near Cobb Island and docks near Dahlgren. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two and a half to three feet above normal. The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 2:12 AM and 2:41 PM. The next high tide at Indian Head is at 5:53 PM and 6:06 AM. The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 12:57 AM and 1:19 PM. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
