North Fork Obion River near Martin For the Obion River...including Martin, Obion, Bogota...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...North Fork Obion River near Martin. * WHEN...From this afternoon to late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Flooding is occurring along the North Fork Obion River in northeast Obion County and northwest Weakley County. Flooding is also occurring in low-lying areas near Union City. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 18.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 20.5 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late this evening. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1243 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
