Southern Brooks County in deep south Texas... North Central Hidalgo County in deep south Texas... Southeastern Jim Hogg County in deep south Texas... Northeastern Starr County in deep south Texas... * Until 1215 AM CDT. * At 921 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Rachal, Encino and El Coyote Ranch Airport. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread heavy rainfall will likely produce totals between 5 to 10 inches, with pockets of 12 inches or more possible.
