Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area with the next activity working north. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Weslaco, Alamo, Donna, Mercedes, Weslaco Fire Department Station Two, Weslaco City Hall, Weslaco Public Library, Alameda Park, Weslaco High School, Sam Houston Elementary School, Harlon Block Sports Complex, Isaac D. Rodriguez Park, Knapp Medical Center, Black Elementary School, Weslaco City Park, Weslaco Border Patrol Station, Midway South, Weslaco Fire Department Station One and Weslaco East High School. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread heavy rainfall will likely produce totals between 3 to 6 inches with pockets of 8 inches or more possible.
