Flash Flood Warning issued September 13 at 6:03PM EDT until September 13 at 8:30PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA At 603 PM EDT, local law enforcement and doppler radar reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Hermitage, Sharon, Sharpsville, Farrell and Wheatland. Roads were flooded near Farrell. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
