Flash Flood Warning issued September 14 at 7:51AM CDT until September 14 at 10:45AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO At 751 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms will end soon across the warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen this morning. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly due to runoff from the heavy rainfall. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Oregon, Forest City, White Cloud, Fortescue and Iowa Point. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
