While rainfall amounts in some areas will be modest, there will be pockets of heavier rainfall that may lead to flash flooding, especially if multiple rounds fall in the same area. In addition, several more rounds of heavy rainfall are expected later this week, from Wednesday onward, and this watch might need to be extended or succeeded by more watches later. HAZARD...Penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Boone, Story City, Roland, Gilbert, Boone Speedway, McCallsburg, Randall, Boone Municipal Airport, and Ledges State Park. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 120 and 131. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
