Special Weather Statement issued July 7 at 9:39PM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN At 939 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Evansville, or 18 miles northwest of Alexandria, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Melby, Evansville, Brandon, Millerville, Garfield, Leaf Valley, Lake Carlos State Park, Miltona, Alexandria, Carlos, Belle River and Rose City. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions.
