Tornado Watch issued June 12 at 8:43PM CDT until June 12 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Duluth MN TORNADO WATCH 406 REMAINS VALID UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MINNESOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA AITKIN PINE IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA CARLTON IN WISCONSIN THIS WATCH INCLUDES 1 COUNTY IN NORTHWEST WISCONSIN BURNETT THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AITKIN, CLOQUET, GRANTSBURG, HINCKLEY, AND PINE CITY. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE TRIBAL LANDS OF THE ST. CROIX BAND IN BURNETT COUNTY, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, SAWYER DISTRICT, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, CLOQUET DISTRICT AND THE MILLE LACS BAND, LENA LAKE, , EAST LAKE, , BIG SANDY LAKE AND, HINCKLEY AREAS.

Flood Advisory issued June 12 at 7:43PM CDT until June 12 at 10:45PM CDT by NWS Duluth MN * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...In Minnesota, Aitkin, Carlton, Crow Wing and Pine Counties and Wisconsin, Douglas County. * WHEN...Until 1045 PM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 742 PM CDT Wednesday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Superior, Cloquet, Mille Lacs Lake, Moose Lake, Crosby, Aitkin, Carlton, Barnum, Mahtowa, Ironton, Deerwood, Willow River, Wrenshall, Oliver, McGregor, Cuyuna, Cromwell, Rutledge and Holyoke. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you can do so safely.
