DAMAGING WESTERLY WINDS averaging 55 to 65 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 100 km/h are likely this afternoon, with the strongest gusts associated with shower activity. Winds are forecast to ease below warning thresholds late tonight. Sustained 85 km/h winds were observed at Low Rocky Point at 6:00 am. 139 km/h wind gust was observed at Scotts Peak Dam at 5:51 am.
