Delaware River near Muscotah affecting Atchison County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Delaware River near Muscotah. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, The east approach to the County Road bridge over the Delaware River around 2.2 miles south of Muscotah is overtopped by flood waters. Flooding of low-lying pasture and cropland also occurs. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 29.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this morning and continue falling to 2.9 feet Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 27.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Several roads are closed in the warning area and are expected to remain so for several more hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... St. Joseph, Atchison, Savannah, Gallatin, Wathena, Elwood, Mound City, Maysville, Highland, Troy, Country Club Villa, Country Club, King City, Oregon, Agency, Jamesport, Union Star, Gilman City, Pattonsburg and Amazonia. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
