For the second Heat Advisory, from 10 AM to 9 PM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Portageville, Reelfoot Lake State Park, Tiptonville, Ridgely, Cottonwood Grove, Hornbeak, Samburg, Cat Corner, Wynnburg, Wright, Cronanville, Roneys Store, Sunkist Beach, Blue Bank, Proctor City, Madie, Spout Springs, Mooring, Haynes, and Lassiter Corner. This includes Interstate 55 in Missouri between mile markers 25 and 31. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
