Special Weather Statement issued July 26 at 10:33PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN At 1032 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Hurricane Mills to near Spring Hill. Movement was southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Columbia, Lewisburg, Hohenwald, Centerville, Linden, Spring Hill, Mount Pleasant, Summertown, Chapel Hill, Cornersville, Lobelville, Lynnville, Gordonsburg, Kimmins, Henryville, Culleoka, Flatwoods, Belfast, Pleasantville, and Hampshire. This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 25 and 52. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for Middle Tennessee.
