Flash Flood Warning issued June 7 at 8:26AM CDT until June 7 at 10:30AM CDT by NWS Norman OK FFWOUN The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Archer County in northern Texas... Southeastern Wichita County in northern Texas... * Until 1030 AM CDT. * At 826 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Wichita Falls, Sheppard AFB, Lakeside City and Pleasant Valley. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 747 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
