Des Moines River near Stratford affecting Hamilton, Webster and Boone Counties. East Fork Des Moines River near Algona affecting Humboldt and Kossuth Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...The Des Moines River at Fort Dodge, or from the municipal power dam...to Lehigh. * WHEN...Until early Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Water affects lowland areas near the river and threatens residences along the river in Fort Dodge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 10.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 10.5 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
