Red Flag Warning issued June 6 at 5:56PM AKDT until June 9 at 9:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 10 AM Saturday to 9 PM AKDT Sunday. * AFFECTED AREA...Upper Koyukuk Valley, Dalton Highway Summits, Yukon Flats, White Mountains and High Terrain South of the Yukon River, Fortymile Country, Upper Tanana Valley, Delta Junction, Upper Chena River Valley, Tanana Flats, Eielson AFB and Salcha, Goldstream Valley and Nenana Hills, Chatanika River Valley, Two Rivers, Fairbanks Metro Area, Nenana, Central Interior, Northern Denali Borough and Eastern Alaska Range North of Trims Camp. * TIMING...From 10 AM Saturday to 9 PM AKDT Sunday. * WINDS...East 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. * IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be possible. A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to the public. Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field of this Red Flag Warning.
