Additional Information: A severe weather outbreak is expected today. Multiple thunderstorms will rapidly develop this afternoon along a stalled front over southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba. Significant severe weather including tornadoes is probable, continuing into the evening hours. ### Significant damage or destruction to infrastructure, homes and the natural environment is possible. Tornado watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes. In the event of a tornado, or if a tornado warning is issued for your area: go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris. Be prepared for severe weather. If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take cover immediately. When out on the water, be prepared for severe weather. If threatening weather approaches make for shore and take shelter immediately. It is particularly dangerous to be on a small craft on the open water when lightning is occurring.

yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 5:51 p.m. CDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain. Thunderstorm Locations: 15 km southeast of Bird's Point extending to Bield Motion: Moving north at 40 km/h Hazards: Wind: damaging (90 - 110 km/h) Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm) Rain: heavy (15 - 50 mm) Locations in the Path: Gerald Yarbo Roblin Esterhazy MacNutt Bird's Point Stockholm Calder Atwater Bangor ### Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. Don't drive through flooded roadways.
