For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Romayor, Goodrich, Liberty, Moss Bluff...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River near Moss Bluff. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 15.2 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 14.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 14.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to remain steady above flood stage at 14.5 feet. - Flood stage is 12.2 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.6 feet on 11/04/2009. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Coastal Flood Warning issued June 19 at 10:14PM CDT until June 20 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX * WHAT...Significant coastal flooding. * WHERE...Gulf-facing beaches, including the Matagorda Peninsula, Brazoria County beaches, Galveston Island and the Bolivar Peninsula. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure will be inundated. Some shoreline erosion will occur. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
