Central Meade County in central Kentucky... * Until 700 PM EDT /600 PM CDT/. * At 406 PM EDT /306 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Brandenburg, Mount Pleasant, Leopold, Ekron, Mauckport, Alton, Laconia, New Amsterdam and Wolf Creek. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 250 PM CDT /350 PM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
