Extreme Heat Warning issued June 30 at 2:40AM EDT until July 3 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Jackson KY * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions will continue for several consecutive days with afternoon heat index values exceeding 105 degrees and only limited relief at night. * WHERE...Menifee and Rowan Counties. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An extended period of hot and humid conditions will commence - with the most oppressive conditions expected on Thursday. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
