HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and powerlines. Locations impacted include... Willington, Curry Hill, Mount Carmel Park, Gill's Point, Hester's Ferry Campground, Bordeaux, Broad River Campground, Chennault, Mount Carmel, Leroy's Ferry Recreation Area, and Long Cane Creek Picnic Area. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Heat Advisory issued July 2 at 1:15PM EDT until July 3 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Columbia SC * WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central Georgia and central South Carolina. * WHEN...From noon to 8 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
