Flood Watch issued June 15 at 1:57AM CDT until June 17 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Brownsville TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following areas, Brooks, Cameron Island, Coastal Cameron, Coastal Kenedy, Coastal Willacy, Inland Cameron, Inland Kenedy, Inland Willacy, Jim Hogg, Kenedy Island, Northern Hidalgo, Southern Hidalgo, Starr, Willacy Island and Zapata. * WHEN...From 1 PM CDT this afternoon through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread heavy rainfall will likely produce totals between 3 to 6 inches with pockets of 8 inches or more possible. Flood Advisory issued June 15 at 8:45AM CDT until June 15 at 11:00AM CDT by NWS Brownsville TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southeastern Hidalgo County in deep south Texas... * WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 845 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Weslaco, San Juan, Alamo, Donna, Mercedes, Progreso, Edcouch, Midway North, Weslaco High School, Midway South, Donna High School, Alameda Park, Sam Houston Elementary School, Weslaco City Hall, Weslaco Fire Department Station Two, Weslaco Public Library, Harlon Block Sports Complex, Weslaco Border Patrol Station and Weslaco City Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
