Romulus and Petersburg around 620 PM EDT. Ida and Maybee around 625 PM EDT. Taylor, Flat Rock, Carleton, and Dearborn around 630 PM EDT. Monroe, Wyandotte, and Trenton around 635 PM EDT. Grosse Ile around 640 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Newport, Melvindale, Gibraltar, Erie, New Boston, Woodland Beach, Stony Point, Bolles Harbor, Rockwood, and Samaria. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing.
