Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Flood Advisory issued June 19 at 6:24PM MDT until June 19 at 9:30PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast New Mexico, including the following county, central San Miguel. * WHEN...Until 915 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 624 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Las Vegas. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 345 and 346. State Road 104 near Mile Marker 1. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
