Flood Watch issued July 7 at 8:41AM MDT until July 8 at 2:00AM MDT by NWS Glasgow MT * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Montana, including the following areas, Central and Southern Valley, Dawson, Garfield, McCone, Prairie, Richland, Western Roosevelt and Wibaux. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Recent excessive rainfall in the area has caused near saturated ground conditions. Boaters on Fort Peck Lake should use extra caution since strong winds and rough waves can overturn small craft.
