Coastal Flood Statement issued September 15 at 7:57AM EDT until September 15 at 1:00PM EDT by NWS Charleston SC Tide levels in the Charleston Habor could briefly reach 7.0 feet MLLW with high tide this morning. This will likely result in some brief, shallow coastal flooding in some of the normal locations throughout Downtown Charleston, including areas adjacent to Gadsden Creek. Motorists should be alert for saltwater across parts of Fishburne Street and Hagood Avenue. High tide in the Charleston Harbor will occur just before noon. There is a chance the tide go higher. If confidence increases that higher tide levels will occur, a Coastal Flood Advisory will be issued. Do not drive through flooded roadways.
