Flood Advisory issued June 5 at 5:12AM CDT until June 5 at 8:00AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central Texas, including the following counties, Dallas, Ellis, Johnson and Tarrant. * WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water and water covered roads is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will likely cause urban and small stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Desoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Burleson, Lancaster, Waxahachie, Cleburne, Benbrook, Ennis, Midlothian, White Settlement, Seagoville, Crowley, Forest Hill and Glenn Heights. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
