Missouri River At Decatur affecting Thurston, Monona and Burt Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Missouri River at Decatur. * WHEN...From late Monday night to early Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 35.0 feet, Local marinas, boat docks and low lying areas begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 25.2 feet...or 9.8 feet below flood stage. - Bankfull stage is 35.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Tuesday morning to a crest of 36.3 feet early Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning. - Flood stage is 35.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
