Flood Advisory issued June 11 at 7:03PM CDT until June 11 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central Illinois, including the following counties, De Kalb and Ogle. * WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding of roads and low lying areas is possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 657 PM CDT, Radar rain estimates indicate that between 1.75 and 3.00 inches of rain has fallen across portions of northeast Ogle and northwest DeKalb counties since this afternoon. A line of thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall with rates in excess of 1 inch per hour will move across this area through about 830 PM, which will produce some flooding across this area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rochelle, Genoa, Kirkland, Kingston, Lindenwood, Monroe Center, Fairdale and Kings. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring.
