Flood Warning issued September 16 at 1:16PM EDT until September 16 at 9:00PM EDT by NWS Northern Indiana * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Far northeast Grant County in central Indiana... Far northeast Jay County in east central Indiana... Southern Adams County in northeastern Indiana... Southeast Huntington County in northeastern Indiana... Wells County in northeastern Indiana... * WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 110 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rainfall has come to an end early this afternoon. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible later this afternoon into this evening. Reports of flooding have been received by emergency management with some road closures due to high water. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bluffton, Berne, Geneva, Nottingham, Poneto, Vera Cruz, Reiffsburg, Domestic, Petroleum, Linn Grove, Travisville, Wellsburg, Dillman, North Oaks, Keystone, Liberty Center, Ceylon, Mount Zion, Rockford and Mcnatts. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Isolated areas of flash flooding also possible. * WHERE...A portion of northern Indiana, including the following counties, Adams, Blackford, Grant, Jay and Wells. * WHEN...From midnight EDT tonight through 2 pm EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Flash flooding could occur in some areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - One to as much as five inches of rain has fallen across the watch area. Additional amounts of one to two inches, with higher amounts, are possible overnight into Thursday morning. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
