Northern Logan County in west central Kansas... * Until 830 PM CDT. * At 810 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Levant to 4 miles north of Winona to 11 miles northeast of Wallace, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Severe thunderstorms will be near... Colby, Levant, and Winona around 815 PM CDT. Monument around 820 PM CDT. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 36 and 75. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Flood Advisory issued June 20 at 8:18PM CDT until June 20 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Goodland KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Kansas, including the following counties, Decatur, Rawlins, Sheridan and Thomas. * WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 818 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Colby, Hoxie, Rexford, Selden, Gem, Menlo, Dresden, Halford, Seguin and Leoville. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
