Northwestern Valley County in northeastern Montana... * WHEN...Until 200 PM MDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 733 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and isolated thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area today. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Malta, Whitewater, Zortman, Saco, Dodson, Loring, Port Of Morgan, Hinsdale, Phillips, Bowdoin, Sleeping Buffalo, Wagner, Frenchman Reservoir, Chapman, Thoeny and Landusky. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Boaters on Fort Peck Lake should use extra caution since strong winds and rough waves can overturn small craft.
