Tropical Cyclone Alert : Tropical Depression Josie (HAISHEN) JOSIE HAS WEAKENED INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION Location of eye/center : The center of Tropical Depression JOSIE was estimated based on all available data at at 1,070 km East of Southeastern Luzon (14.0, 134.1). Strength : Maximum winds of 45 kph near the centerand gustiness of up to 55 kph. Forecast movement : Forecast to move North Northwestward at 25 kph Forecast position : Jul 14, 2026 08:00 PM - 1,245 km East Northeast of Eastern Visayas (OUTSIDE PAR) HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS Heavy Rainfall Outlook JOSIE is less likely to directly affect the weather condition of the country throughout the forecast period. Severe Winds The Southwest Monsoon will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds): Today: Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro. Tomorrow (15 July): Ilocos Region, Abra, Apayao, Zambales, Bataan, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands. Thursday (16 July): Ilocos Region, Abra, Apayao, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands. HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 3.0 m: The western and northern seaboards of Babuyan Islands; the northwestern seaboard of Pangasinan; the seaboards of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union. Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced of operating ill-equipped vessels. Up to moderate to rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 2.5 m: The remaining seaboard of Pangasinan; the seaboard of Zambales; the northern and western seaboards of Batanes Up to 2.0 m: The western seaboards of Bataan and Batangas; the northwestern seaboard of Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Islands; the northwestern seaboards of Calamian Islands and Kalayaan Islands; the remaining seaboards of Batanes Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions. Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. JOSIE will turn northeastward within the next 12 hours. It is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by this afternoon or evening. JOSIE is forecast to weaken into a low pressure area within the next 12 hours due to unfavorable environment.

JOSIE will move generally northward until tomorrow (15 July) before turning northeastward throughout the remaining forecast period. It is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tonight or tomorrow morning. JOSIE is forecast to steadily weaken into a tropical depression within the next 12 hours and may further weaken into a low pressure area by tomorrow due to unfavorable environment.
