Sucarnoochee River At Livingston affecting Sumter County. .Flooding continues on the Sucarnoochee River and a flood warning remains in effect. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sucarnoochee River at Livingston. * WHEN...Until late Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flooding of farm lands around Livingston occurs. At 21.0 feet, Overflow of low-lying agricultural lands increases. Cattle and farm equipment should be moved to higher ground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 20.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM CDT Monday was 20.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Wednesday morning and continue falling to 8.6 feet Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. && The next statement will be issued Tuesday morning, or sooner if conditions warrant.

Movement was east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Livingston, York, Epes, Boyd, The University Of West Alabama, Bluffport, Coatopa, Dug Hill, Tishabee, Belmont, Demopolis Lock And Dam, Lilita, McDowell, Bellamy, and Birdine. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
