Flood Warning issued June 28 at 8:34AM CDT until June 28 at 2:45PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Indiana, including the following counties, Gibson and Pike. * WHEN...Until 245 PM CDT /345 PM EDT/ Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 832 AM CDT /932 AM EDT/, local law enforcement reported flooding across Gibson and Pike Counties, with numerous rural and county roads across the counties flooded, along with water running across IN-64 east of Oakland City. Between 5 and 11 inches of rain have fallen over the past 72 hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Princeton, Fort Branch, Oakland City, Petersburg, Haubstadt, Owensville, Winslow, Patoka, Francisco, Somerville, Hazleton, Spurgeon and Mackey. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Extreme Heat Warning issued June 28 at 11:28AM CDT until July 2 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 105 expected. For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 105 to 110 expected. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri. * WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 8 PM CDT /9 PM EDT/ this evening. For the Extreme Heat Warning, from 11 AM CDT /noon EDT/ Monday to 8 PM CDT /9 PM EDT/ Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An extended duration heatwave will impact the region through at least Thursday. Overnight lows will only fall into the mid 70s, providing little relief. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
