Flood Advisory issued June 11 at 11:25PM CDT until June 12 at 2:30AM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwest Arkansas, including the following counties, Benton and Washington AR and Oklahoma, including the following counties, Adair, Cherokee, Delaware, Mayes, Muskogee and Wagoner. * WHEN...Until 230 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1123 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Estimates of up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Tahlequah... Siloam Springs... Wagoner... Stilwell... Prairie Grove... Fort Gibson... Lincoln... Westville... West Siloam Springs... Hulbert... Watts... Oaks... Eldon... Proctor... Christie... Scraper... Maryetta... Baron... Cherokee Landing State Park... Special Weather Statement issued June 12 at 12:42AM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK At 1242 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 4 miles east of Baron to 6 miles northwest of Short to 4 miles north of Marble City to 4 miles north of Pumpkin Center. Movement was southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations in or near the path include... Tahlequah... Stilwell... Natural Dam... Lincoln... Westville... Marble City... Adair State Park... Eldon... Proctor... Christie... Maryetta... Cookson... Cherokee Landing State Park... Bunch... Baron... Box... Clyde... Rhea... Canehill... Uniontown... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
