Eastern Butler County in west central Pennsylvania... Southern Clarion County in west central Pennsylvania... * Until 500 PM EDT. * At 416 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 6 miles northwest of Rimersburg to over Tarentum, or along a line from 6 miles northwest of Rimersburg to 10 miles west of Vandergrift, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Vandergrift, Kittanning, Apollo, Rimersburg, Harrison Township, Natrona Heights, Ford City, Leechburg, Sarver, Freeport, New Bethlehem, West Kittanning, North Apollo, West Leechburg, Orchard Hills, East Brady, Rural Valley and Parker. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
